Description
The intentional taking of one's own life. Early signs of suicide may include
depression; expression of guilt, tension and agitation; insomnia (sleeplessness); loss of
interest, weight and appetite: and direct or indirect expressions of suicidal intention.
Australian male suicide rates are 4 times higher than female rates (for all ages). In
1993, 2081 Australians suicided. |
