Description
Epilepsy is a condition marked by transient episodes of electrical discharges in
brain regions, which produce involuntary spasms or seizures, some of which result in loss
of consciousness. It is during these spasms or seizures that the person is at risk of
injury. The frequency of epilepsy in Australia is 1-2 in 100. Many factors contribute to
the development of epilepsy. |
